HAOMEI Aluminum operates four punching production lines, producing aluminum discs with thicknesses ranging from 0.5 mm to 6.0 mm and diameters from 105 mm to 920 mm. Our discs feature excellent stretchability, good anodizing performance, and clean, scratch-free surfaces.
We can process alloys from the 1000 series, 3000 series, 5000 series, and 8000 series, primarily using hot rolled products. Our anodized discs offer no color difference, and the alloy composition and temper can be customized to meet specific requirements.
1060 aluminum circles belong to the 1000 series of pure aluminum, containing more than 99.6% aluminum. As a typical industrial pure aluminum, 1060 offers excellent ductility, electrical and thermal conductivity, and corrosion resistance.
These discs are usually made from hot-rolled billets, followed by cold rolling to achieve a smooth, clean surface that can be directly used for deep drawing or spinning. Thanks to their excellent formability, 1060 aluminum discs are widely used for making cookware, lighting reflectors, and similar products.
Commonly used 1060 aluminum circles come in various grades, including O (annealed soft), H14, and H24. Thicknesses typically range from 0.4mm to 6mm, and diameters can reach up to 1200mm. Due to its high purity and low cost, it is one of the most commonly used and economical materials in industries like cookware and lighting.
Main Features of 1060 Aluminum Circles:
High Purity : Aluminum content over 99.6% ensures consistent quality for various applications.
Excellent Ductility : Ideal for deep drawing and forming complex shapes.
Good Thermal Conductivity : Quickly transfers heat, suitable for radiators and cookware.
Corrosion Resistance : Stable in humid, acidic, or alkaline environments.
Easy to Process : Suitable for cutting, welding, bending, and spinning.
Lightweight : Low density reduces overall product weight, improving handling and installation.
High Elongation : Withstands deformation without cracking, ideal for repeated bending and stretching operations.
3003 aluminum circles are part of the 3000 series aluminum-manganese alloys, with about 1.0 % - 1.5 % manganese added to improve mechanical strength and atmospheric corrosion resistance. Compared to 1060, 3003 maintains good formability but offers better structural stability and durability.
During the rolling process, the manganese content causes more significant work hardening, requiring intermediate annealing to ensure subsequent forming performance. Finished products have a bright surface and higher strength, making them ideal for applications requiring pressure and corrosion resistance.
Main Features of 3003 Aluminum Discs:
Good Corrosion Resistance : Excellent resistance to atmospheric and chemical corrosion, maintaining surface brightness for a long time.
Excellent Weldability : Compatible with TIG, MIG, and resistance welding methods; joints are strong and reliable.
Outstanding Workability : High plasticity and elongation make it suitable for deep drawing, punching, and stretching.
Oxidation Resistance : Effectively resists environmental factors such as air and moisture, prolonging service life.
Low Density : About 2.73 g/cm³, roughly one-third the weight of steel, making transportation and installation easier.
Recyclable : Environmentally friendly and fully recyclable, supporting sustainable resource use.
1. Strength: 1060 aluminum circles have lower strength, while 3003 aluminum circles have higher strength.
2. Corrosion Resistance: 3003 aluminum circles are more resistant to corrosion, while 1060 aluminum circles are susceptible to corrosion.
3. Deformability: 1060 aluminum circles have better deformability, while 3003 aluminum circles have poorer bending properties.
4. Processability: 1060 aluminum circles can be easily processed through stamping and deep drawing, while 3003 aluminum circles are more suitable for processes requiring high strength.
5. Applications: 1060 aluminum circles are widely used in light industry, household appliances, and other fields, while 3003 aluminum circles are suitable for manufacturing containers, can lids, and building materials.
6. Cost price: From the perspective of raw material cost, the price of 1060 aluminum discs is relatively lower; the price of 3003 aluminum discs is slightly higher due to the addition of manganese elements and more complicated processing technology.
The price depends on daily aluminum ingot prices, ocean freight, processing fees, thickness, and alloy type.
To receive an accurate quotation, please provide the alloy number, thickness, and diameter of your required product. Our professional sales team will respond promptly with a detailed offer.
The surface must be free of cracks, corrosion, and nitrate traces.
On the surface, peeling, bubbles, surface roughness and local mechanical damage with a depth not exceeding 8% of the nominal wall thickness of the defect area are allowed, but the maximum depth of the defect cannot exceed 0.5mm, and the total area of the defect cannot exceed 5% of the total area of the plate.
Suppliers may polish the surface longitudinally to achieve a smooth finish.
Based on Forming Process:
Select by forming method: 1060 is preferred for deep drawing and spinning processes.
Select by operating environment: 3003 is recommended for outdoor or chemical environments.
Select by budget and volume: 1060 is preferred for large-scale production, while 3003 is selected for high-performance requirements.
Pay attention to the supplier's process capabilities: High-quality rolling mill processes can significantly improve the surface quality and forming rate of the wafer.
Users should make their selection based on their specific needs.
